Spreading the message of gospel through music

Founder Tim Sims has been involved in the Christian music scene as an artist for over forty years, singing, songwriting, and performing at local church sponsored events across the St. Louis Metropolitan area. 

Almost from the inception of what would eventually become known as Contemporary Christian Music, Tim Sims began listening to the likes of Andre’ Crouch, Amy Grant, Walter Hawkins, Brian Duncan and the Sweet Comfort Band, and many others helped define the genre. Musical influences include artist such as BeBe and Cece Winan, Kirk Franklin, and Isreal Houghton.

As a singer/songwriter, his musical style includes sounds of Praise & Worship, 90’s R&B gospel, Pop-gospel, as well as Latin and African influenced Christian music.

Because of popularity and growing interest in his music, Tim decided to establish Shouldered Ark Productions, a.k.a. Shouldered Ark Records, as his own label and production company, for the purpose of sharing his love for Christ, the good news of the Gospel, and his passion for good music.
